Clinical ServicesSA Swallowing Services, PLLC (SASS) is a clinical services provider specializing in transnasal endoscopy to evaluate patients or nursing care residents with dysphagia using the Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedure and protocol. SASS, as a mobile FEES service, provides instrumental dysphagia assessments in health care facilities across Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia. Entering its 15th year of mobile FEES clinical practice, SASS has performed over 10,000 instrumental oropharyngeal swallowing assessments. SASS clinicians work directly with facility Speech-Language-Swallowing Pathologists and other staff members to assist in determining the safety and efficiency of the swallowing mechanism leading to improved hydration, nutrition, and quality of life.
