Toronto, Canada - 2025

-This program was truly so enjoyable, especially the non-judgmental environment for learning.  Thank you SO MUCH!

-This was hands-down the BEST course I’ve ever taken. Engaging, comprehensive, informative; loved it!

-Amazing!  Engaging instructors, plenty of opportunities for practice and learning. Thank you! (smiley face)

-Training with hands-on in lab felt stressful.  Very pleasant speakers who had a wonderful mix of being serious, fun, and contagious. (smiley face) Thank you

-Would be nice to have access to practice videos for scoring

First day went over time & second day did too

…but overall, thank you.  Very valuable course!

-Very good course. Much better than other courses I’ve taken.

-This was an exceptional course not only from a knowledge perspective but also hands-on learning. I feel so well equipped for FEES. The instructors were so engaging and incredible teachers!

-Interactive and fun. Glad we were thrown into the deep end w/ scoping right away.

Humble, TX 2025

- Loved getting to scope @ the beginning of day 1!

- The binder and all the resources are all amazing for reference after the course.

- I enjoyed the layout of the course (changing between lab/lecture)

- I enjoyed how this swallowing presentation not only discussed the swallow and the manual application/scoping but applied this assessment and dysphagia to the whole body/person.  You are right, Dr. Ashford, SLPs need to be more aware of how our scope of practice interrelates to the person’s anatomy, physiology, and overall care. I enjoyed & needed your kindness and firmness during scoping training.

-The layout of the course was perfect! It was very helpful to get the foundations of scoping down early on, and then dive into analysis.

-Going through videos & practicing scoring was so beneficial! I was a little more worried about scoring than scoping, so I loved getting a lot of hands on practice with them as well!

New Orleans, LA 2025

- Excellent for confidence building and education to better understand swallowing. I hope to apply this not just to FEES but MBS!

- Staying in groups for scoring practice helped a ton!

- I really enjoyed the anatomy refresher and time spent on analysis.

-Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your knowledge and enthusiasm was so appreciated!

            - I wish it was over 3 days instead of 2, however.

- Excellent info provide & very personable – made it very easy to learn & non-judgment zone!

Gainesville, FL 2025

- I loved/love all of your passion for the patients QOL, excellence in your practice, and sharing that with us.

- Very well organized, informative course. I appreciate all of the slides to have as a resource along with the hands-on labs. The instructors were great and very patient with all of the students which I appreciate. Thank you for the course!

- I really enjoyed the course and the updates! But, for experienced clinicians, especially those who use MBS, the physiology parts were repetitive.  I would enjoy more analysis practice personally…Also, I didn’t do the assigned reading because they came on relatively short notice.

- Overall, great program. I felt very nervous coming in, but now I feel much more comfortable with FEES.

- Loved content learning plus real life scenarios/situations/visuals to immediately apply content.

- I found the scoring activities & real FEES review very helpful in understanding how to score penetration, rate residue, etc. All the hands-on practice was great.

 - I really enjoyed the teach style, use of interactive quiz/return of learning during the lectures. Y’all do a wonderful job!  Thank you!

 - 1. Would benefit from some consistency w/ the first trials (ex. Allowing to anchor or not)

   2. Can tell that Michelle and John are over working with stupid people, HA! (hopefully I wasn’t one of them).  Thank you!

Nashville, TN 2025

-Exceptional, very practice. You made a safe learning environment. So good to experience scoping instructions with real feedback.  The slides are so coherent & useful. Much stronger program than another course I too.

-I love it. Changed my view of dysphagia & made me appreciate FEES much more.  Amazing instructors who really made it feel like a no judgment zone.

-More scope practice. More size L groves.

-I loved this course. It’s a great team of therapists that are knowledgeable & passionate. Passing 10 scopes on the 1st day was very nice to get nerves out of the way.  I may not be aware but hoping you come to Texas more.

-Thank you!  We asked a lot of extra questions & ya’ll were very helpful.  I hope that my hospital will update their tech & scope, so the vendor information was helpful.  The instructors very calmly guided us even as we bumped along their turbinates and velums.

-I enjoyed this course and would recommend to others!  I wouldn’t change a thing!

-Very glad I came to take this course.  I wouldn’t have the confidence to complete this without this type of detailed/hand-on instruction.

-Great info!  I really loved the last section-protocol for ____ (arrow) I still meet a lot of clinicians that favor thickened liquids/modified diets (arrow) the emphasis on negatives of thick liquids is helpful for us to review.
