FEES Competency Training Information:
Description: One-week FEES immersion clinical program with patients in medical facilities to improve FEES clinical competency for qualified SLPs.
Location:
Nashville, TN -travel to facilities with SASS clinicians to assess referred patients.
Onsite: Onsite hospital training with SASS instructor with referred patients.
Trainee must be allowed to commit to one-week (40-hours) of training without other clinical duties.
Procedures: Complete a minimum 10 patient-FEES procedures - chart review, equipment setup, food stimuli setup, scope insertion, direct complete study procedure, endoscope/equipment cleaning, study scoring, analysis, interpretation, and completing concise 2-page (maximum) report. Usually 2 to 4 hour-process per patient.
Supervision: One-on-one direct supervision/mentoring by SASS instructors.
Qualifications: To qualify, the presumptive trainee must:
first complete the SASS Basic FEES Training Course. FEES training obtained from other training sources is not acceptable due to differences in training information and clinical methodologies;

third, after reserving training dates with Dr. Ward, register for competency training on the SASS website: www.sasspllc.com/fees-competency-program-registration/ and pay tuition fees.
Tuition and Costs: $3500.00
In Nashville, additional costs to the trainee for accommodations, travel, and meals
Onsite, accommodations, travel, and meals are in addition to the basic tuition cost.
Tuition payment is made at the time of registration by individual credit care, sponsor-credit card, or sponsor-invoiced payment.
