Training Courses and Competency Training

SASS Training Courses &  Information:

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy – Effective August 4, 2021:

Effective August 4, 2021, persons registering and attending training activities sponsored and/or presented by SA Swallowing Services must be 2-dose vaccinated for Sars-cov-2 (COVID-19). Tangible proof of vaccination is required with a photocopy emailed to Dr. Ashford to complete registration.  SASS training courses are held at an LTAC facility primarily for ventilator patients. Competency training occurs in nursing home facilities across middle Tennessee.  SASS has unilaterally adopted this immunization policy to minimize any potential infection risks to the patients and medical staff at these facilities.  Further, this position is taken to minimize risks to all training participants, coming from all corners of the country, during their training activities and experiences with us.

Those who have registered for future courses and choosing not to be vaccinated, please contact Dr. Ashford (john.r.ashford6703@gmail.com) for a registration refund. EXCEPTIONS CANNOT BE MADE FOR MEDICAL OR RELIGIOUS REASONS.
